German wholesale metal prices down 2.3 percent in February

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in February of the current year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were 1.4 percent higher compared to February 2012. In January 2013 and December 2012, the revised year-on-year increases were 2.3 percent and 3.2 percent respectively. Meanwhile, the wholesale price index was 0.1 percent higher in February compared to January.

In February, the wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished metal products in Germany were down 2.3 percent as compared to the same month of 2012 and were stable compared to January.
