German producers’ rebar prices down 12.1 percent in June

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in June this year the producer prices of industrial products in Germany remained stable compared to May this year and were up 0.6 percent compared to June 2012.
 
Excluding energy, producer prices of industrial products in Germany remained stable in June of the current year compared to May and rose by 0.4 percent compared to June 2012.
 
In June, intermediate goods in Germany were 0.9 percent cheaper on year-on-year basis, marking the third consecutive month of year-on-year decline, while intermediate good prices fell by 0.3 percent compared to May. German producers' prices for basic metals in June this year were lower by 5.4 percent year on year and were down 0.9 percent from May this year. In June, German producers' rolled steel prices fell by 6.2 percent, while rebar prices in Germany were 12.1 percent lower, both compared to the same month of 2012.
