General situation of Chinese line pipe steel production

Chinese line steel production in 2005 reached 1.581 million mt. In recent years, oil and gas pipeline construction in China has entered a new development stage, with consumption growing for various steel pipes and lines. In 2005, Baosteel produced 337,000 mt of line pipe steel, ranging from X42 to X80. The line pipe steel production of Wuhan Steel totaled 571,900 mt, which may be broken down into X60, X65, and X70. Over the same year, Anshan New Steel produced 326,000 mt of X42-X65 line pipe steel.
