France’s manufacturing industry sees 1.1 percent rise in revenues in Nov 2009

According to a report released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies, in November 2009 the total revenue of the country's manufacturing industry increased by 1.1 percent compared to October, following a slight month-on-month decrease of 0.2 percent recorded in October; meanwhile, the exports of the industry in November improved by 3.8 percent month on month.

The total revenue of France's manufacturing industry in the three months up to the end of November fell by 0.5 percent as compared to the previous three months and was down by 10.2 percent over the corresponding period of the previous year.

In November, the revenue of the French metallurgical industry increased by two percent month on month, while a decrease of two percent was recorded for the three months up to the end of November compared to the previous three months. The revenue of the French construction industry, on the other hand, rose by 1.2 percent month on month in November, but was down 1.5 percent quarter on quarter for the quarter ended November 30.
