France’s industry orders down 3.1 percent in Sept from Aug

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in September this year France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles, fell by 3.1 percent month on month. In August, a revised month-on-month increase of 0.8 percent was registered. Meanwhile, in September export orders decreased 2.7 percent as compared to the previous month.

In September, industrial orders in the domestic metallurgical industry improved by 1.5 percent as compared to the previous month, while industrial orders in the manufacture of metal products except machinery rose by 1.2 percent as compared to August. In September, industrial orders in France's automotive industry decreased by 6.9 percent as compared to the previous month, following an increase of 1.3 percent recorded in August.
