Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet output sees slight decrease in Q4

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the fourth quarter of 2014 its overall iron ore pellet production decreased by 0.1 percent year on year to 2.76 million mt.

In the fourth quarter, Ferrexpo's pellet production from its own raw materials decreased by 3.02 percent year on year, amounting to 2.62 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate stood at 145,210 mt, rising 120 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
 
Ferrexpo Yeristovo Mining's pellet production in the given quarter amounted to 1 million mt, up 50.8 percent, while iron ore production from Ferrexpo Poltova Mining decreased by 21.4 percent to 1.6 million mt, both compared to the fourth quarter of 2013.

Meanwhile, in 2014, Ferrexpo's overall iron ore pellet production increased by 2.6 percent year on year to 11.02 million mt.
