Driven by Chinese economic growth, exports from Thailand to China increased by 62.9 percent year on year in the July-September quarter of the current year, according to the Thailand-based Kasikorn Research Center.

The export value from Thailand to China reached $2.967 billion in September, with an increase of 56.3 percent year on year.

As stated by the research center, with China's economic performance likely to soften and with Thailand's agricultural and manufacturing sectors hit by recent floods in the country, overall Thai exports to China are expected to see 27-30 percent year-on-year growth in the current year, down from 33.2 percent last year.
