Local media reported an explosion Tuesday morning at Sioux City, Iowa-based Sioux City Compressed Steel. Authorities said a propane tank accidently went through the facility’s shredder.

No injuries were reported, but the shredder’s conveyer was reportedly damaged.

"It's not an unusual situation. We do not accept propane tanks mixed in with the normal shred feed. We'll take them separately because we process them differently," said Michael Potash, manager of Sioux City Compressed Steel, to local media.
