EU-27 steel exports hit 2.324 million mt in August

According to the European Steel Association (Eurofer), in August this year EU-27 flat steel exports reached 1.438 million mt, while long steel exports amounted to 887,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU-27 steel exports in August totaled 2.324 million mt, up 6.4 percent month on month and increasing by 20.72 percent year on year. The EU flat steel export figure in August constituted the highest monthly flat steel export figure so far in the current year.
