Hubei Province-based Wuhan Iron & Steel Corporation (WISCO) has been awarded the Quality System Certificate of Germanischer Lloyd AG for its S690QL high strength structural steel, which will consequently have free access to the European Union markets. WISCO is now completing its first shipment of this high strength steel, totaling 200 mt, for the Belgian market.
After a strict performance examination of WISCO's S690QL high strength structural steel, experts from Germanischer Lloyd AG finally announced that the 3D measurements, surface quality, and mechanical performance of the product in question had achieved 100-percent qualification.
Early this year, WISCO successfully developed high strength weather-resistant container steel with independent intellectual property rights. Characterized by high strength, easy-shaping and corrosion resistance, this product can be made into special beams for containers.
