EU increases electrical sheet & cold rolled quotas

According to reports from the industry the European Commission has raised the quantity of non grain oriented electrical sheet import quotas from 41'444mts to 74'678mts and safeguard quotas for cold rolled steel from the originally determined 935'630mts to 1'114'158 mts. There is no official clarification for the reasons of these increases however the raise in electrical sheet quota is commented to be deriving from the Russia-EU bilateral agreement initially being thought to cover the entire quantity of electrical sheet exports. However only some of the Russian exports turned out to be covered under the agreement and therefore the EU commission had to raise the quota for this material. On the other hand the raise in the quota of cold rolled material is left without a comment.
