Essar inks MoU for steel complex in Trinidad

Sources report that Indian steelmaker Essar Steel inked a memorandum of understanding with Trinidad government to build a steel complex in the country. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Essar Steel announced plans to set up a steel plant in Trinidad with an investment of around $1.4 billion. In line with the deal, Essar will built an iron and steel complex at the Point Lisas Industrial Estate that will consist of a pellet plant, a hot briquetted iron (HBI) plant, a steel slab plant and a hot rolled coil plant.
