Iranian state-owned steelmaker Esfahan Steel has lately succeeded in producing 180 mm H-beam (IPB 180 and IPBC 180) according to international standards.
The 180 mm H-beam in question was designed and developed by Esfahan Steel's engineering department and successfully produced by the steelmaker's rolling mill 650. Esfahan Steel officials stated that as a result they will be able to produce 100,000 mt of H-beam per year for the local and export markets.
Located near the central Iranian city of Esfahan, Esfahan Steel has an annual crude steel capacity of 2.2 million mt. Rebar, wire rod and I-beam are among its other principal finished steel products.
