Echeng Steel ships steel from its new port for first time

According to major Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Group (WISCO), its subsidiary Echeng Iron and Steel Co. has shipped 5,000 mt of rebar from its new port Egang Changhang Industrial Port, which is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in China Ezhou Sanjiang Port District of Wuhan New Port, in the city of Wuhan in China's Hubei Province. This is the first time that Echeng Steel has shipped steel from its new port.
                    
Both Echeng Iron and Steel Co. and China Changjiang National Shipping (Group) Co. have invested in Egang Changhang Industrial Port. The first phase of the port, costing an investment of RMB 246.1 million ($38.57 million), saw the construction of two berths which were commissioned at the beginning of August this year.
