Hubei Province-based Chinese steel producer Echeng Iron and Steel (Echeng Steel), subsidiary of Wuhan Iron and Steel Company (WISCO), has announced that it has successfully completed the hot run test on its new billet continuous casting machine No. 4.
The building of the concaster No. 4 is an important part of Echeng Steel's ongoing technological upgrading project. With the project, Echeng Steel targets an annual production capacity of 4 million mt of semi-finished steel products.
