Dongkuk Steel posts increase in its profit

Korean steel producer Dongkuk Steel Mills (DSM) has announced that its net profit in 2004 has increased by more than 200% thanks to higher steel prices. Net income of the company for January-December period has been recorded as Won 456 billion ($439 million), up by 245.9% against the net income recorded in the previous year. Operating profit of the company has increased by 90.9% to Won 493 billion, while sales has increased by 40.6% to Won 3.27 trillion ($3.1 billion) against the figures recorded in the previous year.
