Danieli to upgrade ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada’s rolling mill

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will upgrade the existing rolling mill of ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada, a part of the global steel giant ArcelorMittal’s North America group, with the installation of a new finishing line. With the new equipment, the company aims to eliminate short bars and maximize plant efficiency, material yield and final product quality.

Danieli stated that the equipment will support an increase in the mill’s production capacity and will make new added-value products available to customers. The plant startup is expected in March 2017.
