Italian plantmaker Forni Industriali Bendotti has announced that it will supply two new walking beam furnaces for ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada, a subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal.

One of the new furnaces will supply the company’s existing rebar and SBQ rolling mill in the West plant at Contrecoeur. Meanwhile, the other furnace will supply the existing wire rod mill in the East plant at Contrecoeur. The start-up of both furnaces is planned for June 2019.
