Danieli to supply new continuous pickling line for Severstal

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will supply a new continuous pickling line for Russian steelmaker Severstal’s main steel production facility located in Cherepovets, Russia. Production of the first pickled coil is foreseen by February 2020.

Danieli stated that the new line will be comprised of four pickling sections and will process more than two million mt of strip in a wide range of different steel grades. Processed coils will have a maximum width of 1,850 mm and thicknesses between 1.2 mm and 6.0 mm.
