Danieli to supply advanced cold mill complex for Uzbekistan-based TMZ

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it has been awarded a contract by Uzbekistan-based steelmaker Toshkent Metallurgiya Zavodi (TMZ) and Russia-based engineering company MetProm for the design and supply of the most advanced cold mill complex in Central Asia. Turnkey construction will be undertaken by MetProm. The new complex will come on stream gradually in 2019.

According to Danieli, the new complex, which will process 500,000 mt per year of cold rolled, galvanized and painted products to cover automotive non-exposed panels, appliances, and construction market requirements, will be installed in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, Danieli Automation will supply all the electrical equipment and control systems, including equipment control and process control for the entire complex, providing an integrated and optimized system configuration.
