Daido Steel aims to increase operating profit

Japanese specialty steelmaker Daido Steel Co. Ltd. targets to increase its operating profit growth more than 40 percent over the next three years by focusing on key products such as aircraft, ships and car parts. In the framework of a mid-term business plan, Daido will increase its operating profit to Yen 53 billion ($449.7 million) on revenue of Yen 530 billion ($4.5 billion) in the financial year starting in April 2008.
