Cuban steelmaker Acinox has resumed steel output, following the shutdown of an electric arc furnace (EAF) last year, according to local press.

The EAF was shutdown in September last year due to a rupture in the equipment. Since then, works at the company’s steelworks have been paralyzed, said Cuba’s Tiempo21.

Acinox should end March by processing 12,000 mt of billet and 4,000 of rebar, according to a media report.
