Cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires increases in September

The cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires area, in Argentina, has increased 24.6 percent, year-on-year, according the latest figures released this week by the country’s institute of statistics and census, Indec.

The cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires also rose in the month-on-month analysis, increasing 1.3 percent in September.

Cost of civil construction materials, workforce and general expenses improved 22.5, 26.4 and 21.4 percent year-on-year, respectively, in September. As for the month-on-month comparison, costs increased as well, but at a different pace.

Materials, workforce and general expenses rose 2.4, 0.6 and 0.9 percent in September, month-on-month.

Indec added the cost of rebar increased 13.3 percent in September, year-on-year, and was among the civil construction materials that increased costs the most in the ninth month of the year.
