Corus wins Royal Navy order

The second largest European steelmaker Corus has won a contract to supply steel for the British Royal Navy's two new aircraft carriers.

Under the contact, Corus will deliver to the Royal Navy more than 80,000 metric tons of structural steel, 80 percent of which will be manufactured at Corus' facilities in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, in Dalzell, near Motherwell in Scotland, and in Skinningrove, Teesside.
