Coal mines in Russia’s Kuzbass region increase output by 3.9% in Jan-Nov

According to Russia's Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy sector, mining companies from Kuzbass, Russia's biggest coal-mining region, produced 18.3 million mt of coal in November this year, up 6.4 percent year on year, including 5.1 million mt of coking coal, compared to 4.6 million mt in November 2013. In November this year, coal mining companies in Kuzbass shipped 17.5 million mt of coal, including 9.6 million mt for export.
 
In the January-November period this year, mining companies in Kuzbass produced 191.9 million mt of coal, up 3.9 percent compared to the same period of 2013, including 53.9 million mt of coking coal, compared to 51.3 million mt in January-November 2013. In the first eleven months this year, coal mining companies in Kuzbass shipped 189.2 million mt of coal, including 108.5 million mt for export.
