According to Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Co. (Chongqing Steel), seven classification societies, including China Classification Society (CCS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Germanischer Lloyd (GL) and others, have completed the last phase for certification of 2,700 mm wide shipbuilding steel plate of 12-40 mm thickness and of grades A, B, D, D32 and D36 produced by Chongqing Steel.
All required standards were met in the tests which were carried out. The certification work began in August of this year.
