Civil construction activity in Brazil declines in September

The activity of the Brazilian civil construction segment declined in September, reaching 35.9 points in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth.

According to information released on Monday by the nation’s confederation of industries, CNI, the activity level of the segment has declined from 36.2 points in August and 42.3 points in September 2014.

The utilization of the industry’s capacity in September reached 59 points, down from 67 points a year ago, but slightly up from 58 points in August this year.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the industry showed 35.2 points in September, up from 34.7 points in August, but well below the 43.1 points registered in September 2014.
