In 2014, Scrap Processing Company Meta, a part of Russian steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group, sold 1.357 million mt of ferrous scrap metal, up 17 percent year on year, according to a company statement. The increase was due to more processing by the company to supply ChTPZ Group's pipe mills.

Established in 2004, Meta is one of Russia's leading scrap processing companies, with a six percent market share in 2014. Its strategic objective is to supply all of the scrap needed by ChTPZ Group's pipe division.

Meta's main activities are gathering, processing and selling scrap ferrous metal in Russia and abroad. The company has 63 processing facilities in 12 Russian regions.
