Chinese commodities group to acquire Stemcor

Cedar Holdings, a China-based commodities group will acquire London-based Stemcor, one of the world’s largest steel trading firms, Stemcor said Tuesday.

The company did not disclose the value of the acquisition, but the deal is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2020.

Currently Stemcor’s largest shareholder is US-based private equity firm Apollo Global Management.
