China’s stainless steel usage to rise 5-7 percent annually in next 5-10 years

According to the Chinese steel giant Baosteel, stainless steel consumption will increase by five to seven percent annually in the coming five to 10 years in China.

Meanwhile, N. C. Mathur, the president of the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association, has predicted, "China's stainless steel exports will increase by 13 percent to 14 million metric tons in the current year." He added, "By 2015, Indian annual stainless steel production will increase to four million metric tons."
