China’s retail sales of consumer goods up 8.4 percent in H1

In the January-June period of this year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 19.521 trillion ($2.84 trillion), up 8.4 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). In June alone, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 3.3878 trillion ($0.49 trillion), up 9.8 percent year on year.

In particular, in the first six months, total automotive vehicle sales in China reached a value of RMB 1.9113 trillion ($0.28 trillion), increasing by 1.2 percent year on year.
