China’s medium plate exports down 64.66 percent in Jan-Oct

In October, China's medium plate exports reached 293,100 mt, down 335,600 mt or 53.38 percent year on year, totaling $178 million in value, down $617 million or 77.63 percent compared with the same period last year. The average export price was $606.77/mt. Total January-October exports reached 2.5406 million mt, down 4.6487 million mt or 64.66 percent, amounting to a total value of $1.844 billion, down $5.438 billion or 74.68 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the month in question, the country's medium plate imports stood at 79,500 mt, down 30,600 mt or 27.81 percent year on year, totaling $94 million, down $113 million or 54.56 percent compared with the same month last year. The average import price was $1,179.18/mt. Total January-October medium plate imports came to 1.0161 million mt, down 55,500 mt or 5.18 percent, amounting to $1.416 billion in value, down $325 million or 18.65 percent year on year.
