China’s large and medium-sized mills see increased profit in Jan-May

In May this year, China’s large and medium-sized steelmakers achieved sales revenues of RMB 294.24 billion ($43.28 billion), with an aggregate gross profit amounting to RMB 7.937 billion ($1.17 billion), as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In the January-May period this year, China’s large and medium-sized steelmakers achieved an aggregate gross profit amounting to RMB 37.885 billion ($5.57 billion), exceeding the overall gross profit of RMB 33.15 billion ($4.88 billion) in 2016.
