China’s iron ore imports increase by 9.3 percent in January

In January this year, China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate amounted to 100.343 million mt, up 19.3 percent month on month and increasing by 9.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on February 8. 

In January, China imported 1.191 million mt of finished steel, down 0.75 percent month on month and increasing by 8.9 percent year on year.
