Tianjin-based Construction Machinery and Equipment magazine has forecast that China’s excavator sales in June this year will exceed 24,000 units, up by more than 60 percent year on year, including 21,500 units in the local market and 2,700 units in the export market, up by 73 percent and two percent, respectively, year on year.

It is also expected that China’s overall excavator sales in 2020 will exceed 270,000 units, up by 17 percent year on year. Though Covid-19 negatively affected construction activities at the beginning of this year, construction activities have subsequently accelerated amid the easing of lockdown measures.
