China's excavator sales expected to decrease by 26 percent in April

In April this year, excavator sales in China are expected to amount to 18,000 units, down 26 percent year on year, as announced by the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA).

In particular, in April, excavator sales in the Chinese domestic market will likely reach 9,000 units, down 44 percent year on year, while excavator sales to the export markets will likely total 9,000 units, up six percent year on year.   

The excavator industry is typically a cyclical industry and is in a declining cycle currently. Since May 2021, excavator sales have followed a downtrend.   

In the first three months this year, excavator sales in the Chinese domestic market totaled 28,828 units, down 44.4 percent year on year.
