In May this year, China's pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs amounted to 60.96 million mt, 69.95 million mt and 98.48 million mt, down 2.0 percent, decreasing by 1.7 percent and up 2.1 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In the first five months of the year, China's pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs amounted to 297.12 million mt, 340.17 million mt and 459.97 million mt, down 2.4 percent, decreasing by 1.6 percent and rising by 2.2 percent year on year, respectively.
