China’s coke exports down 22.4 percent in January-August

In August this year, China exported 460,000 mt of metallurgical coke, down 51.3 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. Meanwhile, in August, China exported 20,000 mt of coking coal, down 67.1 percent year on year.

In the January-August period this year, China’s metallurgical coke exports totaled 5.28 million mt, declining by 22.4 percent year on year, while it exported 1.95 million mt of coking coal, up 123.9 percent year on year.
