China’s coal imports up 93 percent in Jan-Jun

In the January-June period of the current year, China’s coal imports amounted to 221.93 million mt, rising by 93.0 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on July 13.

In June alone, China’s coal imports totaled 39.871 million mt, up 0.7 percent month on month, while increasing by 20.891 million mt compared to the same period of last year.
