China issues long product output results for April

In April 2010, China increased its output of large-size section steel by 127,000 mt or 18.7 percent year on year to 806,000 mt, with average daily output of 26,900 mt, down by 400 mt or 1.32 percent month on month. The country's total output of these products from January to April was 3.378 million mt, up 510,000 mt or 17.8 percent year on year.
 
China's April output of medium and small-sized section steel reached 4.13 million mt, up by 725,000 mt or 21.3 percent year on year, with average daily output of 137,700 mt, up by 18,400 mt or 15.4 percent month on month; total output of the products from January to April was 13.37 million mt, up by 2.3 million mt or 20.8 percent year on year.
 
Output of steel bars reached 5.92 million mt, up by 1.31 million mt or 28.4 percent year on year, with average daily output of 197,300 mt, up by 14,900 mt or 8.39 percent month on month; total output of these products from January to April was 21.506 million mt, up by 5.336 million mt or 33 percent year on year.
 
Output of rebar in April reached 11.334 million mt, up 1.842 million mt or 19.4 percent year on year, with average daily output of 377,800 mt, up by 31,500 mt or 9.1 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 41.562 million mt, up by 5.733 million mt or 16 percent year on year.
 
Output of wire rod in April reached 8.92 million mt, up by 1.524 million mt or 20.6 percent year on year, with average daily output of 297,400 mt, up by 5,900 mt or 2.01 percent month on month; total output of the product from January to April was 33.768 million mt, up by 6.067 million mt or 21.9 percent year on year.
