On December 17, China's Ministry of Commerce published the list of qualified exporters of coke for 2010, in accordance with the relevant qualification criteria and application procedures, for the purpose of strengthening coke export management and regulating export orders.

There are 46 qualified coke exporters in the list for 2010, in comparison with 47 qualified exporters in 2009. Many exporters failed to use their quotas in 2009, while in 2010 China's volume of coke exports is not expected to register any great change due to the continued implementation of high tariff rates.
