Chilean rebar sales decline in April

Chilean rebar sales to the local civil construction segment declined 20 percent in April, year-on-year, to 40,543 mt, the nation’s civil country’s construction chamber, CCHC, said.

According to CCHC data, shipments of the product in April also fell in the comparison with the month prior, diminishing 4.7 percent, from the 42,564 mt registered in March.

In the accumulated period of January to April, rebar sales dropped 10.4 percent, year-on-year, to 176,494 mt from 197,097 mt a year ago.
