Cherepovets Steel Mill reduces slab shipments in May

In the current month of May, Cherepovets Steel Mill, a subsidiary of Russian steelmaker Severstal, will decrease its deliveries of steel slabs by 49,000 mt compared to April due to repair work at its oxygen-converter plant. The producer is expected to deliver 100,000 mt of slabs in May.


In January-April 2011, Cherepovets Steel Mill delivered 367,000 mt of slabs, up 42 percent compared to the same period last year.
