Canadian iron ore production up 18.9 percent in July

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 5,859,017 mt of iron ore concentrates in July, up 18.9 percent from June and up 20.6 percent from July 2021.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,395,075 mt of iron ore concentrates in July, down 0.9 percent from June and up 8.5 percent from July 2021.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 8,975,857 mt in July, compared to 8,390,515 mt in June and 5,784,769 mt in July 2021.
