Canadian iron ore production down 27.5 percent in September

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 3,878,560 mt of iron ore concentrates in September, down 27.5 percent from August and down 24.9 percent from September 2020.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,792,286 mt of iron ore concentrates in September, down 10.7 percent from August and down 19.8 percent from September 2020.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 5,434,829 mt in September, compared to 6,014,358 mt in August and 4,188,397 mt in September 2020.
