The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has announced its preliminary decision regarding the antidumping duty investigation on certain carbon and alloy steel line pipe imports from China, finding that these imports have caused injury in the domestic industry.

The investigation covers line pipes, welded or seamless, having an outside diameter from 60.3 mm up to and including 609.6 mm, including line pipe meeting or supplied to meet any one or several of API 5L, CSA Z245.1, ISO 3183, ASTM A333, ASTM A106, ASTM A53-B or their equivalents, in all grades.

The investigation was initiated in August this year upon the complaint by Tenaris Canada and Evraz North America Inc.
