This month, Projeart, a steel technology developer, will start an HDG plant in Fortaleza, capital of the Brazilian northeastern state of Ceará.
With an estimated investment of $10 million, the plant will feature a 15 cubic meter HDG tank, the largest of its type in Brazil.
The company stated that currently, most galvanizing services for the northern and northeastern regions are carried out elsewhere, which leads to increased costs from freight, longer delivery times, and higher logistics risks. The new plant will help reduce these expenses, shorten deadlines, decrease cargo handling, and provide greater predictability for large-scale projects.
According to Projeart director, Odmar Feitosa, the plant's close location to the Fortaleza and Pecem ports allows it to supply other areas to serve international markets.
