Borusan Mannesmann receives additional order for TANAP

Turkey-based pipe producer Borusan Mannesmann has announced that the BNE consortium led by Borusan Mannesmann has received an additional order worth of $80 million for the Trans-Anatolian pipeline project (TANAP) which will transfer natural gas from the Caspian region to Europe through Turkey. The total value of the orders received by the BNE consortium has exceeded $500 million.
 
Borusan Mannesmann was the first company to be approved by TANAP for production and shipments for the project. The company started pipe shipments in June this year.
 
In October 2014, a consortium of Turkish pipe producers Borusan Mannesmann, Noksel Çelik Boru and Erciyas Çelik Boru had won a tender to supply 30 percent of the overall volume of 1.2 million mt of steel pipes to be used in the construction of the 1,900 km-long TANAP.
