Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has stated that it plans to supply more than 19,000 mt of rebar in 2013 for the new Belarusian nuclear power plant which is currently under construction. BMZ expects its rebar supplies for the plant in May to total 2,150 mt.

Previously, BMZ produced and supplied rebar for the Voronezh nuclear power station and for the nuclear power station in Smolensk.

The project for the multi-reactor Belarusian nuclear power plant foresees construction of two nuclear reactors between 2016 and 2020, and probably two more reactors by 2025.
