Benxi Steel further reduces energy consumption per ton of steel in November

According to Benxi, Liaoning-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Iron and Steel Corporation Ltd, in November this year it achieved a comprehensive energy consumption per metric ton of steel of 658 kilograms of standard coal/mt - a record low for the company and far lower than its target for the 11th five-year plan (2006-2010).

In the first half of the current year, Benxi Steel had recorded an average energy consumption per ton of steel of 685.9 kilograms of standard coal/mt.
